We were approached by News UK to develop a website to promote and handle the voting for The Sunday Times and Sky Sports, Sports Women of the Year Awards 2015. In previous years, the award nominations and voting had occurred across the various brand specific platforms. The challenge this year was to combine all three associated brands, The Sunday Times, Sky Sports & Vitality, in to one centrally branded hub.
Using a bespoke voting system, the site was designed to be simple and easy-to-use and share via social media integration. A variety of multimedia sits comfortably within the minimal, user friendly design ensuring an immersive and satisfying user experience.
The responsive, cross-device website and bespoke voting system helped to elevate the SWOTY awards experience. With almost 90,000 page views and 15,000 nominations and votes, 2015 was one of the most successful years to-date for the awards.
